It was reported that Mr. Palmer revealed information to the police about several wanted men in the Portmore area, this sent shock waves through the dancehall fraternity and also to fans everywhere. His layer has now revealed that "this nothing but propaganda by the police".He maintains that no meeting was ever held between his client and a police officer or the commissioner of police, nor was his client ever asked to give information to them about anyone.
The information that was allegedly leaked by Mr. Palmer led to the seizure of 17 guns in the area.
Mr. Tavares-Finson made it clear that the source of the information remained anonymous and that this is just an attempt by the police to prejudice the appeal of the entertainer.
Despite this, he says that he is still confident that his client will get a good hearing at the court of appeal.
