THUGS THREATENS JOURNALISTS OVER "KARTEL INFORMER" HEADLINE

Recent reports say that two journalist have recently been threatened, via phone calls, by thugs defending the integrity of the dancehall entertainment. They were certainly not amused by the headlines that depicted that entertainer as an police informant.


In response to this, Mr. palmer wrote this statement, condemning the death threats:

It was brought to my attention this morning by a member of my legal team that a number of persons including journalists have reported receiving threats from persons purportedly acting on my behalf.
During my sentencing hearing my Attorney Tom Tavares-Finson indicated to the court that I hold no ill-will to any of the persons involved in my trial neither the Police, Prosecutors, Executives from Digicel and certainly not any member of the Media who covered my trial in a manner which exposed the weaknesses in the Prosecution’s case for all the world to see.


I reiterate the position “I hold no ill-well  to anyone who was involved in my trial” and I put my faith in the judicial system and the appeal process on which we have now embarked.
I appeal to any misguided individual or individuals who may think it appropriate to seek to threaten or intimidate anyone, to stop it.
Such action is not helping me or my fellow appellants and is playing into the hands of the Police and others who are seeking to discredit me and prejudice the fair hearing of my appeal.
In the meantime I thank my family, friends and fans who continue to support and have faith in me.

KARTEL'S LAWYER GETS DEFENSIVE

It was reported that Mr. Palmer revealed information to the police about several wanted men in the Portmore area, this sent shock waves through the dancehall fraternity and also to fans everywhere. His layer has now revealed that "this nothing but propaganda by the police".
He maintains that no meeting was ever held between his client and a police officer or the commissioner of police, nor was his client ever asked to give information to them about anyone.

The information that was allegedly leaked by Mr. Palmer led to the seizure of 17 guns in the area.

Mr. Tavares-Finson made it clear that the source of the information remained anonymous and that this is just an attempt by the police to prejudice the appeal of the entertainer.

Despite this, he says that he is still confident that his client will get a good hearing at the court of appeal.

Why do artiste feel the need to do ridiculous thing for attention? What is so wrong with being noticed by the public not for how you look, but for the good quality music you produce.

Entertainer Vybz Kartel has really found him self in hot waters this time and this predicament has cause him to take any action necessary to aid in a sentence reduction.

It is reported that the entertainer provided police personnel with information on several wanted men in a last attempt of securing immunity from the sentence he was served with.

Our sources say that the entertainer organized a meeting with the Commissioner of police, Owen Ellington, who then assigned a member of the police high command to meet him personally.

In that meeting, Kartel offered police information on wanted men in the deejay’s home base in Waterford and across Portmore, this led to an investigation which to led to the recovery of 17 illegal guns in the area.

It is not the lyrical battle that many were looking forward to seeing, nevertheless dance hall artiste Masicka has stepped up to the task of throwing lyrical blows towards fellow entertainer and the leader of the J.O.P camp Aidonia.

 

It is reported that members close to J.O.P camp informed Masicka, that Aidonia is trying to sabotage him by targeting his musical career. Masicka was quoted saying " Di same people dem weh deh round him tell mi say him a fight against mi and a tell producers not to voice mi songs dem ".

He continued, " don't make people duh yuh work, talk outta yuh own mouth, but mi know him nah go do dat cuz him fraid a mi lyrically".

 

It is reported that many artiste are happy that dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel is behind bars as it gives them a opportunity to expand their career and in masicka's view, Aidonia is one of these artistes. "Kartel deh a prison fi three years and him still caa run di place, dat simple mean him nuh good. Kartel still a lead him by a mile even behind bars" is a line out of Masicka's song aimed at Aidonia.

Shorty dismisses rumors that claim her common-law husband is on suicide watch.

It is reported that the rumours of  incarcerated dance hall entertainer Vybz kartel being on suicide watch began when a local radio station posted on the social media site Twitter yesterday in the afternoon stating, " It is being alleged that Vybz Kartel is on Suicide Watch and has been attacked on numerous occasions."   Tanesha Johnson has since came on scene to dismiss these allegations saying that he is doing fine and that these are just rumours  and there is no truth to it.  

An officer posted at the Horizon Adult Remand Centre where Kartel is currently jailed, also dismissed the rumours stating, "nothing like that."  

Shorty was quoted saying that " I just leave from there, he's not on suicide watch, somebody who is on suicide watch wouldn't get visit. Everything that's bad them use kartel name. Dem need fi stop it now,".

ARTISTE BOUNCES BACK ON THE SCENE WITH NEW LINE OF SHOES

 
QQ tells Music News that he plans to shoe line for kids. This line will include school shoes, slippers and sandals for young kids. The deejay says he hopes to release the line in time for the new school term in September and maintains that the shoes will be affordable for everyone.

QQ said his inspiration for starting a shoe line came after meeting students and hearing stories of children who were forced to stop from school because they didn’t have any footwear.

KARTEL'S KILLING SPREE

 

Dance Hall entertainer Vybz Kartel has earned the title "gang leader" by the Commissioner of Police Mr. Owen Ellington. The name of the gang was withheld, however he has stated that this gang is responsible for more than 100 murders across the island, many are still unaccounted for.



 
The Commissioner made this shocking revelation while he was being interviewed by award winning journalist Dion Jackson-Miller.

Vybz Kartel is currently serving a life sentence with hard labour and possibly no chance of parole for the murder of Clive Lizard Williams. Fellow entertainer, Shawn Storm along with two others were also jointly charged and are all serving life sentences.

The member in custody is Trovoy Keneale Brackett, he was held by border patrol agents at the Manhattan Hudson River on a cruise ship that was coming from the island of St. Maarten. Law enforcement officers say the cocaine was found disguised in mixtures that weighed over five kilograms.

The high profile murder case involving one of Jamaica's best entertatianer  Desmond John Ballentine more popularly known as "Ninja Man" has been before the courts since the year 2009 and is yet to be solved. There was to be a court hearing this morning at the Home Circuit court but it was again postponed to a later date.


The postponement is believe to be because of the absence of the key witness. Ninja Man is to return to court on November 10. The dancehall deejay, his son and another man are all accused of murdering a man on March 16, 2009.

 

In the meantime, the entertainer has secured and added K.D Knight, a prominent attorney to aid in the success of his case.

Dance Hall artiste Adijah Palmer, more popular known as Vybz Kartel will be serving a lengthy sentence behind the prison walls, 35years to be exact.

Despite this his common-law wife Tanesha 'Shorty' Johnson says she will be waiting for him, during this period she says she will be focusing on her children and music label.

 

 

Adidja 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer and his three co-accused were sentenced to life in prison last week for the 2011 murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.

He will be eligible for parole in the next 35 years at the age of 73.

GOVERNMENT TO BE SUED BY CALVIN HAYE A.K.A MOONEY???

Famous designer planning to sue government

Calvin Haye who was jointly charge with dancehall Vybz Kartel last year is now weighing in on his options of suing the government for false imprisonment and malicious prosecution.Haye was first arrested in October 2011 and granted bail on January 13 last year and although Haye has been a free man from November 14 of last year the fashion designer is still contending that he was charged by the police without a just reason and that he has been mentally damage.

 His attorney, Mr. Sean Kinghorn, told the media that he wrote to the Attorney General Patrick Atkinson today outlining the content of his client’s suit.

The lawyer says his client  has suffered psychological distress from the incarceration and had to seek treatment to help him cope. The State has a period of 21 days in which to respond to the claim.

Many Jamaicans are left shock after hearing Vybz Kartel's sentence.Vybz Kartel whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is to serve 35 years before he becomes eligible for parole. Many are saying that he doesn"t deserve it while others have a different opinion.



Kartel and this three co-accused were convicted for Lizard’s murder were each given life sentences a short while ago by Justice Lennox Campbell.
